NYC After Dark: A Gritty Day in the Life of a Ticket Scalper
🎬 The Weekly Reel:
This week’s release captures the hustle of AVI, a Knicks ticket scalper scrambling through a day in New York City. Forget love letters—this film is more like NYC's late-night, no-filter text: u up? You can catch this and other amazing films at NextFoundArtist.
RELEASE THIS WEEK:
Face Value
Directors: Ariel Elmann and Jack Terzi
A New York based short following a day in the life of AVI, a ticket scalper, who tries to sell Knicks tickets and finds himself resorting to every last measure. A lot of movies call themselves a love letter to New York City. This one just texted at 2 AM asking “u up?”
Q: What was the inspiration behind the film?
A: Ariel Elmann and Jack Terzi are a Brooklyn-based filmmaking duo. Growing up together in the same Midwood two-family house during the early 00's led them, decades later, to a mutual love of comedy and telling stories embodied by the characters they know all too well. Ariel is in the ticket buying world, and wanted to tell the story of people who are so desperate to get ahead that they're unable to see that they are ultimate in their own way.
Q: Whats your favorite city?
A: NYC :)
